LifeWish Psychology emerges from an acknowledgement that we each possess a wish and an energy to be alive, to survive, and hopefully, to thrive.

At times we may become unbalanced, and the rhythms we have had, or wish to have, elude us.

We lose our way. We struggle. We are not at ease.

We may search for something to hold to that will help us to restabilise.
This sense of derailment can occur during times of transition, and during meaningful life events.
Some of these are our own choices, others are out of our influence.

We may be curious and have realisations. We may not be aware.

You are warmly welcome to LifeWish Psychology. To the beginning of your journey, or a continuation of one.

The wish is for LifeWish Psychology to become a space where you can be true to yourself. Where you can reignite your wishes, passions, values, knowings and loves.

Wherever you have come from

wherever you are now

and wherever you wish to be….

……you are warmly welcome here .

About LifeWish Psychology

LifeWish Psychology is a Brisbane-based psychology practice offering in-person and online (video) psychotherapy for adults, couples and families in Brisbane, throughout Queensland, and across Australia

Whether you attend sessions from the light-filled Fairfield suite or from the comfort and familiarity of your own space, you will be met with confidential, professional and deeply compassionate care. As a psychologist, I hold a heartfelt commitment to being alongside you as you come to experience greater contentment, balance, fulfilment and richness in your life.

Meet Linda

It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to meet you and join with you in the next part of your personal growth. The therapeutic relationship that we create is a trusted space for you to feel heard and confident to be yourself.

I find it a great honour and privilege to be a psychologist. I wholeheartedly believe in your ability to grow and discover the very best of yourself.

With a fresh perspective, inquisitiveness and empathy, I am comfortable in sitting alongside you through difficult and confronting times. Equally so, I find enjoyment in experiencing your life-changing realisations that come from the exploration of yourself.

My warmth and presence in the sharing of your journey is natural, intentional, and heartfelt.

It can be both a challenging and enriching process to work through your difficulties and towards your dreams.

It takes energy.

I commit to keeping your goals in mind as I support you to live a wholesome life by:

  • deepening your understanding of yourself,
  • accepting and integrating aspects of yourself
  • enjoying rich and satisfying relationships,
  • feeling safe and confident to explore your inner and outer world,
  • finding meaning in your days and your relationships,
  • developing strategies to overcome difficult aspects of your life, and
  • embracing your individuality and uniqueness.

I’ll work with you to create a picture of what you would like to achieve from our time together, and I’ll be guided by you, so that we are in-sync with how you wish to be progressing.

If you are a couple or a family, we will all be working together so that everybody can feel they have a say in where things are going.

Throughout the therapy process, I’ll check in with you to get a sense of how useful you are finding the sessions, and whether you wish to refocus our direction to make our time together the most helpful for you.

I hold an eclectic and deeply considered range of interests within the mental health space, and I draw from a number of therapeutic theories, frameworks and traditions in my work. Therapy is unique and individualised, just for you. Together we will explore what has brought you to this space and what you hope to move toward, and I will gently integrate approaches that best meet you there.

My therapeutic approaches will draw from:

Psychodynamic psychotherapy

Positive psychology

Schema Therapy

Attachment based approaches

Mindfulness-based practices

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Gottman Couples Therapy

I also offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), a structured and evidence-based therapy that can support the processing and integration of distressing experiences.

I look forward to meeting you, hearing your evolving story, and discovering with you, for as long, or as little as you need.
